Moroeni

Moroeni is a commune in Dâmbovița County, Muntenia, Romania, consisting of the villages of Dobrești, Glod, Lunca, Moroeni (residence), Muscel and Pucheni.

The commune is located in the northern extremity of the county, comprising the high mountain area, including a good part of the Bucegi Natural Park in the Bucegi Mountains. On the territory of the commune are Bolboci lake and Ialomița springs with Ialomița cave (where there is also a small hermitage), and on the border with Prahova county is Omu Peak, the highest point of Bucegi and Dâmbovița county, as well as Babele peak.
