Rodna, formerly Rodna Veche, Rogna Veche, Rocna is the village of residence of the commune with the same name in Bistrita-Nasaud County, Transylvania, Romania.
Rodna is located in a very picturesque geographical setting, in the contact area, geological and geomorphological, between the crystalline of the Rodna Mountains and the sedimentary-volcanic Bârgăului Mountains. In the north, Rodna borders Maramureș County, to the south, with the border of Măgura Ilvei and Ilva Mare communes, to the east with the border of Șanț commune, and to the west with Maieru commune (Anieș village).
