Theodor Aman Museum is one of the most beautiful private residences in Bucharest, built in 1868 according to the projects of the owner, the painter Theodor Aman. It is also one of the few residences that have not changed over time, being the first artist's house-workshop in Romania.
From the plans of the house and the exterior decoration (made in collaboration with the sculptor Karl Storck) to the interior decoration - mural painting, stained glass, carpentry decoration, ceiling stucco, workshop paneling and house furniture - all reflect the vision of Theodor Aman.
Theodor Aman Museum was opened in 1908 and is one of the oldest memorial museums in Romania. It preserves the atmosphere of private life from the Belle Epoque period with most of the works of the painter Theodor Aman.
