Although Brăila is a fairly small town, it is definitely worth a visit. An advantage is the fact that it is very close to the city of Galați, only 32 km away (20 minutes by car) so you can easily visit both of them if you arrive in this area.
A walk on the beautiful seafront, a visit to the zoo, the museum, the art galleries or a little shopping at the city mall, all of which are well worth putting this city on your holiday list.
Brăila is the municipality of residence of the county of the same name and is located on the left bank of the Danube. The city has a population of 180,302 inhabitants, which is the 11th largest urban city in Romania in terms of population. This is also the headquarters of the South-East Regional Development Agency.
